Leaving a legacy to Thatu in a Will, gives us the chance to make
the kind of significant donation we are perhaps unable to make during
our lifetime.

- Residuary
bequests
are the gift of the remainder of the estate after all other bequests
have been made and debts cleared.
- Pecuniary
bequests are the gift of a fixed sum of money. The value
of pecuniary legacies will decrease over time, as the cost of
living increases.
- Specific
bequests are the gift of a named item - such as a piece
of furniture.
- Contingent
bequests
are those which apply only if other beneficiaries named in the
Will die before the testator (person who made the Will).
